JCHS BASEBALL SIGN BOARD SPONSORSHIP PROGAM (2/19)
We are currently offering a sign sponsorship program through the baseball program. For this first year. 100% of the funds raised by sign board sponsorships will go to help support the baseball program. In future years, the sign board will become part of the GAA sign board program with funds split per GAA sign board program guidelines.

The sign board will be located on the concession stand at the baseball/softball fields and will face the walkway leading up to the fields as well as the stadium. With this high-traffic, high-visibility location, signs will be seen by players, families and followers of more than 20+ sports teams. The softball and baseball teams alone will host more than 50 games per season at home!

Details regarding the sign board sponsorship program are below along with a sketch of what the sign boards will look like. The sign boards will be installed in the next week or so! So don't miss out on this excellent advertising opportunity!

GAA CASINO NIGHT FUNDRAISER (1/29)
The first annual GAA Casino Night and Silent Auction is schedule for the evening of March 17th. Your help is needed, and appreciated, and there is also an opportunity to raise money for our club.

This will be a fun and first class event at a very reasonable price. Each $50 ticket admits 2 adults for an evening of gambling (blackjack, roulette, craps and poker) for prizes, a silent auction, hors d’0euvres, a cash bar and a live band. Your help is needed and appreciated in two areas. Our venue will only accommodate 400 attendees, so please tell everyone to buy tickets early to guarantee a spot. Second, ask your members to donate items for the silent auction; anything that event attendees might buy: dinners, event tickets, art, wine, vacation home stays, etc. All net proceeds from the sale of the items will go directly to the club designated by the donor. Depending on the number and value of items donated by your club members, this is a big opportunity to raise funds for your club.

Attached are files with an Event Flyer, Ticket Order Form and Silent Auction Donation Form. Let’s all pitch in to kick off this annual event and make it a good time and a winner for everyone!

PLAYING vs. COMPETING (10/6)
Coach Nicholson has made the following article regarding "playing" versus "competing" available. This article was written by Mike Candrea, softball coach at the University of Arizona and former Team USA softball coach. While the article is written from a softball-centric perspective, the points made in the article are just as pertinent to baseball and many other sports.
